Unlike many other sports we have no benchwarmers or second string wrestlers. Everyone that signs up gets to compete. There’s no right field to hide your kid in and the coach’s son doesn’t get to play quarterback.

Practices are held in the Moore Wrestling Room around the backside of Moore. Enter through door 13.

COMPETITIONS
COMPETITIONS ARE COMPLETELY OPTIONAL. A wrestler can be on the team and not compete. Our mission is to teach youth wrestling fundamentals, build character, and have a good time. Competitions are held primarily on Sundays for elementary school wrestlers. Competitions start in November and end in early February. Check the schedule for dates, times, and locations.
EQUIPMENT
Wrestling Shoes
Wrestlers should have wrestling shoes by Oct. 14th or by the 3rd week from their start date. Shoes must be neutral colors: black, white, gray, or a combination. Wrestlers may also wear navy blue(our team color) shoes. Shoes can be purchased at Academy Sporting Goods or Dicks Sporting Goods. Shoes can often be purchased for cheaper prices online at various wrestling gear sites. 
Knee Pads (optional)
Rookie wrestlers may develop sore and bruised knees. Wrestling knee pads are sold at Academy or Dick's. They will protect the knee from blunt force and burns. Some wrestlers wear them and others do not. Knee pads are totally optional. If purchased they must be neutral colors: black, white, gray, or a combination. Navy blue kneepads may be purchased. |
Wrestling Headgear (Mustangs only)
Wrestlers must purchase headgear if they are competing. We have several used headgears we are trying to get rid of for $5. Headgear can be bought at Academy or Dick's Sporting Goods.
