We apologize for the long delay in the Breakdown. The breakdown will now be released weekly!! Please check upcoming events below and the schedules for Youth K-8 and High School. The competitive season has started for youth and is 2 weeks out for the #4 team in the state.
Middle School Team Finishes 6th at Veterans Memorial Tournament 11/9/13
The middle school team made it's first showing under new head coach Marshall Pomeroy with a 6th place finish at John Hardin's Veterans Memorial Tournament. The team was lead by 4 placers, Allen Powers (98) 3rd, Reed Middleton (140) 3rd, Gage Gray (190) 4th, and Cody Melton (240) 4th. All wrestlers performed well and gained good experience. Coaches and wrestlers are ready to get back in the room and improve for a even better showing Saturday at the North Hardin Trojan Invitational.
Navy/Gray Scrimmage and Alumni Night next Friday!!! 2012 Alumni Night attendees
Next Friday Nov. 22nd will be our annual Navy/Gray Intra-squad Scrimmage and Alumni Night. The entire MTS Wrestling program K-12th grade will scrimmage each-other. Come check out the #4 high school team in the state of KY!
We will also be having our annual alumni night. With close to 50 alumni slated to come, this will be the biggest alumni night ever! Former head coach Bill Mosby will also be in attendance. Alumni Justin McDaniel Earns College Varsity Spot 11/1/13
Justin McDaniel earned the varsity heavyweight spot at Campbellsville University this season. He defeated last years starter to earn the spot. McDaniel put on some solid weight moving up from 195 to around a solid 230 pounds!
Justin went 3-1 at the Patriot Open on Nov. 2nd placing second in his first college tournament. His current record is 4-2 and he will wrestle in Michigan this weekend. Good luck Justin!! We are so proud of you! Oct. 28th - Nov. 1st - High School Wrestler of the Week!
Congratulations to freshmen rookie Devin Hess for earning Wrestle of the Week honors for the week of Oct. 28th - Nov. 1st. Devin has done a great job this season and has worked very hard to learn the sport of wrestling. Wrestler of the week awards will be given out every week.
